Servo Presses
Standard Servo Press

The Promess Electro-Mechanical Assembly Servo Press (EMAP) is a fully electric, programmable motion controlled ball screw press with integrated motion control and monitoring. Promess offers 33 different Electro-Mechanical Assembly Servo Presses with capacities ranging from less than an ounce to over 200,000 pounds to fit any application.

The Promess EMAP offers you the most competitive, accurate, and efficient solution to any assembly requirement. The EMAP brings you the ability to literally clone your original assembly, and then forces the system to duplicate – very precisely – all ongoing production. If, for some reason, the system cannot reproduce it, a fault condition will tell you that you have made a component outside the desired parameters.

Hand Held Press

The new Promess fully electric Hand Held Press provides precision servo press control coupled with built in force and position monitoring capabilities, in a lightweight, compact handheld package. The Hand Held Press is controlled with Promess’ standard MotionPRO Motion Controller, giving you all of the power of a standard Promess’ Electro-Mechanical Assembly Press. Available in force capability of 5 kN or 12 kN with stroke lengths up to 100 mm. They also have adjustable handle positions with two-hand trigger switches and speed limited to 25 mm/sec for operator safety.

Integrated Back Stop Press

As every application places different demands on assembly and test systems, Promess has designed a new line of Electro-Mechanical Assembly Presses that allow a servo press to mount directly to a robot arm. The Integrated Back Stop press line comes complete with the ability to mount directly to the robot with a simple adapter plate. This helps eliminate the need for expensive and bulky tooling.

The Integrated Back Stop line incorporates Promess’ EMAP technology with a lighter weight housing and hardened end cap, making this package ideal for any and all robotic application needs. Like the Standard EMAP, this package still includes force and position feedback.

Torque Assembly Systems (TorquePRO)

From the typical to the complex and from the light loads to very high torque, the Promess family of TorquePRO systems offers a complete solution for Builders and End Users. The TorquePRO has the ability to both control and monitor the rotational torque and angle in real time through a closed-loop feedback system.

Rotational Electro-Mechanical Assembly Press (REMAP)

The Promess Rotational Electro-Mechanical Assembly Press (REMAP) provides fully programmable, precise and independent control of both linear and rotational motion into a single unit. The REMAP system has integrated force and torque sensors for controlling and monitoring the force and torque signals.

The REMAP is compact and easy to integrate into both new and existing systems. Unlike traditional linear/rotational systems involving complex designs and controls, the Promess REMAP comes in one complete, ready to run package.

Electric Press Work Station

The Promess Electric Press Work Station is a stand-alone unit with an integrated Promess Electro Mechanical Assembly Servo Press (EMAP). The Promess Servo Press is a programmable motion controlled ball screw press with integrated motion control and monitoring. The Electric Press Work Station provides a fully mobile and readily accessible, customized foundation for assembly, test, and lab applications. Unlike conventional work stations, the Promess Work Station is completely electric.

Promess offers 33 standard Electric Press Work Stations with capacities ranging from less than an ounce to over 200,000 pounds to fit any application.

Table Top Work Station

The Table Top Electric Press Work Station is ideal for high-precision batch assembly applications, such as producing small valves and electrical or electronic components. The system is all electric which provides a clean and quiet working environment.

The stations include press capabilities ranging from 1 kN to 12 kN along with sensors, controls, software, and safety equipment for a virtual turnkey installation.

Promess Motion Controller (PRO-MC)

The PRO-MC is an all-in-one, plug and play motion controller.
This servo press system controller is designed to save space, save time, and save money. The PRO-MC comes fully assembled, wired, and tested, so it’s ready to be integrated into your machine.

With the PRO-MC, there is no need for another electrical enclosure. Valuable floor space is saved, thanks to the compact design. Inside the enclosure is the Promess DrivePRO servo amplifier with the integrated Promess MotionPRO card. Also included is a safety relay (circuit is designed to meet category 3 safety requirements), and a 24VDC power supply. All components are fused and protected from overload conditions.

With the PRO-MC, communication to the machine logic controller is simple. Whether you prefer Discrete I/O connections, Profibus, ProfiNet, ModBus TCP, or Ethernet I/P formats, communication to the PRO-MC is as convenient as “plug-n-talk’.

PRO Main Module

The PRO Main Module is a powerful and compact process monitoring and test device. The PRO electronics are housed in a DIN rail mountable enclosure for easy installation. The Ethernet port allows for easy communication back to the Promess application software . Multiple PRO modules can also be networked to a central data collection point.

The PRO is dynamic, yet simple to use, making it perfect for monitoring assembly applications, such as press-fit, staking, crimping, and riveting. It can tackle the more demanding test applications where high-speed data collection and advanced analysis are required.

The PRO system allows for the connection of a large range of sensors to monitor a variety of processes, some of which include force, distance, torque, pressure, and flow.

MiniPRO Single or Dual Station Monitoring System

The Promess MiniPRO Monitoring System is a stand-alone process monitoring and test device with data acquisition. The MiniPRO is dynamic, yet simple to use, making it perfect for monitoring assembly applications, such as press-fit, staking, crimping, and riveting. It can tackle the more demanding test applications where accurate, high-speed data collection and advanced analysis are required.

The MiniPRO system allows for the connection of a large range of sensors to monitor a variety of processes, some of which include force, distance, torque, pressure, and flow.

Force/Torque Calibration Meter (PRO-CM16)

With the high demands placed on today’s manufacturing facilities to improve the quality of their products, certifying the accuracy of load monitoring equipment used in manufacturing has become a necessity.

The Promess PRO-CM16 Calibration Meter is designed for the calibration, certification, and verification of force and torque monitoring equipment used in assembly environments, manufacturing facilities, and R&D labs.

The PRO-CM16 is a battery operated, hand held meter with a precision amplifier housed in a very robust enclosure. The meter is designed to work with Promess transducers and standard strain gauge load cells to calibrate and certify force and torque measuring systems. The meter stores up to sixteen different transducer calibration and range settings.

A Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) interface enables plug and play sensor identification by the PRO-CM16 instrument. All data regarding a particular sensor is stored in the sensor and not in the display unit. The data is automatically uploaded to the PRO-CM16 when the sensor is plugged in, avoiding costly user mistakes.
